This girl is growing up. It makes me sad. I want her to stay little. She's our last baby. Although...not a baby anymore. It's hard to watch her walk off to kindergarten everyday knowing she's getting;
just a little bit smarter
a little bit more independent
a little more comfortable being away from mom
a little bit taller
a little bit older
a little bit bigger
a little more excited to grow, and be like the "first graders"
wanting to turn six so bad she asks me everyday if she IS six yet
I enjoy watching her grow, but there is just something about watching your last baby grow. I want to slow it down, I want to keep her home with me. I'm soaking up all I can now.
Luckily, at the end of that school day...she still comes running up to me, so excited to see me, and asks me to hold her. That makes me smile.
OH mY! She has grown so much-- she is GORGEOUS! So sweet!

Oh she is so dang adorable...look at that face. I can so relate...my Karissa is also in Kindergarten and cannot wait to be six in a couple months and be a first grader..... because she is like sooooo over being in grade K.

I've been reading your blog for some time and love it! Your post made me think of the BEST book, Let Me Hold You Longer by Karen Kingsbury...you'll cry happy tears!

She looks like an angel, just like her shirt says, very precious. I know JUST how you feel. Every morning when I take Sophie to school I ask her "are you sure you want to go to school today?"...I know this is very backwards-good thing she likes school!

I know what you mean, Candice. Even though Brooklyn is not as old as Abby, she is our last and there are days it makes me sad to know she's growing so fast and learning new things so quickly. Abby is such a darling little girl.
Oh, and Taylor is way excited to turn six and be a first grader, too.
